Who We Are
J.P. Morgan is a global financial services firm offering investment banking, asset management, and wealth management. It provides innovative financial solutions and expertise to corporations, governments, and individuals worldwide.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced UX Designer to join J.P. Morgan Personal Investing in London on an initial 6-month contract. Ideally, you will have experience across both web and mobile platforms, taking projects from initial problem definition through to build and launch, with experience working within the financial services industry.

What you'll do

  • Translate briefs and direction into high-quality UX designs across web and mobile.
  • Design complex end-to-end journeys, including alternate paths, edge cases, validation, errors and system states.
  • Create high-fidelity screens, prototypes, journey maps and detailed specifications ready for engineering.
  • Collaborate closely with developers to clarify designs, assess feasibility and manage trade-offs throughout implementation.
  • Apply established design systems and identify opportunities to improve components, patterns and consistency.
  • Navigate changing requirements, challenge assumptions and proactively drive customer-focused solutions.

What we're looking for

  • Highly experienced in UX/Product Design, ideally within financial services, pensions, investments or another complex, regulated environment.
  • Strong UX and design skills, with the ability to simplify complex, information-heavy journeys.
  • Proven experience producing detailed, build-ready designs, including high-fidelity screens, prototypes, user flows and specifications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with experience documenting states, validation, messaging, responsive requirements and platform differences.
  • Strong engineering collaboration skills and experience working within established design systems, with highly proficient Figma skills.
