Job Title: Applications Developer Location: Arlington, VA (On-Site) Clearance: Active Secret Required Company: Quantum Science Solutions (QSS) Compensation: Open Rate Position Overview The Applications Developer will support a U.S. Government customer providing onsite incident response capabilities to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners experiencing cyber-attacks. This mission includes immediate investigation and resolution of cyber incidents, characterization of breach severity, development of mitigation plans, and restoration of impacted services.
The Applications Developer will design, develop, enhance, troubleshoot, integrate, and implement software solutions supporting this critical customer mission. This position will contribute across the end-to-end software development lifecycle, including application development, RESTful API integration, cloud-based development, containerized environments, software testing, troubleshooting, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities • Design, troubleshoot, and implement software code throughout the end-to-end software development lifecycle. • Design, develop, enhance, debug, integrate, and implement software applications. • Troubleshoot production problems related to software applications. • Research, test, build, and coordinate the integration of new products based on user requirements. • Evaluate and recommend application software packages, application integration solutions, and testing tools. • Resolve software problems and respond to recommendations for application improvements and enhancements. • Design, develop, integrate, and interface with web application RESTful APIs. • Support secure software development lifecycle practices, including code versioning and maintenance. • Assess and integrate commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products. • Support the installation, demonstration, testing, validation, and evaluation of new and existing software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologies. • Develop software solutions using Python. • Work with AWS resources including S3, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and Route 53. • Perform data transformation and manipulation through code. • Develop and work within containerized environments using Kubernetes and Docker. • Implement recommendations to improve documentation and software development process standards. • Ensure quality control of developed and modified prototype software. • Communicate directly with customers within project environments and during technical demonstrations. • Collaborate with technical teams across remote and physical locations.
Mandatory Skills • U.S.
Citizenship. • Active Secret clearance. • Ability to obtain DHS Suitability. • 2+ years of directly relevant applications development experience. • Knowledge of the secure software development lifecycle, code versioning, and software maintenance. • Experience assessing and integrating commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products. • Knowledge and familiarity with the installation, demonstration, testing, validation, and evaluation of new and existing software, tools, methods, and software measurement technologies. • Operational experience with Python. • Experience working with AWS resources including S3, SQS, Lambda, Glue, and Route 53. • Knowledge of software application development and RESTful architecture. • Knowledge of data transformation and manipulation through code. • Experience developing and working with containerization technologies, including Kubernetes and Docker. • Strong communication skills with experience interacting directly with customers in a project environment or technical demonstration. • Ability to work collaboratively across remote and physical locations.
