Skillset / Experience:
As an AI Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying world-class Decision Intelligence and AI-enabled products for our customers. These solutions have far-reaching impact across aspects including patient care, team member and patient experience, clinical and back-office operations, and system financial health. You will work as part of a product team with other engineers, data scientists, architects, product managers, and product designers. You will also share in the responsibility for our products achieving the target outcomes for the business problems they are meant to solve. As such, you will be a key player in the continuous Product Discovery and Product Delivery lifecycles to ideate, prototype, launch, learn, and increasingly improve each iteration of our products. A positive, "get to yes” attitude, seeking to find a solution that meets viability, value, feasibility, and usability objectives.

The candidate should have 5 years experience with the following:
- Experience with AI/ML deployment, Agent deployment, LLM integration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) patterns, cloud architecture, API integration, observability, and production readiness.
- Experience with understanding the process for deploying AI/ML models to Azure cloud platform. Strong understanding of cloud computing, containerization, and DevSecOps practices
- Proficient working with semi-structured file formats and NoSQL databases
- Proficiency in at least one common programming language, such as Python or Java.
- Experience with AI application frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Familiarity with Responsible AI principles, such as fairness, bias mitigation, and model explainability.
- Experience in the healthcare industry or knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security rules.
- Design and implement scalable and efficient ML Ops pipelines for ingesting, processing, and storing large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering or application development experience
- Experience developing and integrating APIs
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and source control repositories
- Experience working in cloud environments
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and end-to-end application delivery
- Hands-on experience with AI applications, agentic AI concepts, and tool-calling frameworks
- Strong coding skills and ability to complete live coding exercises during interviews
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and solve technical problems
- Experience in software engineering/application development is required over data analytics or data science-only backgrounds
- Strong software engineering foundation with experience developing scalable applications
- Experience building agentic AI applications and AI-powered workflows
- Experience creating voice agents and conversational AI solutions
- Backend and full-stack development experience
- Python experience preferred
- Experience working with cloud technologies (Azure preferred)
- Experience integrating APIs into enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of application architecture and production deployments
- Healthcare industry experience
- Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
- Epic EMR experience, particularly Epic Hyperspace and Epic API integrations
- Epic certification
- Experience supporting patient scheduling workflows
- Experience supporting care navigation or patient engagement initiatives
- Voice AI development experience
- Full-stack development skills with frontend exposure
