The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, etc.) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers within an intermodal yard. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks, ensuring accurate placement and handling. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis, optimizing yard flow. • Conduct pre- and post-use equipment inspections to guarantee operational safety and identify any maintenance needs. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily tasks and ensure smooth logistical operations. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety best practices. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team. • Open availability for the specified shift.
