Job Description

Overview

Senior Software Engineer with knowledge and a broad range of concepts, technology, and domain insights to develop and deliver world-class software solutions. You will build software and provide technical tooling and advice that enables our ventures to operate safely and at speed within a regulated environment. Collaboration across product, design, QA, and multiple stakeholder groups is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using React, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • Partner with product, design, and QA to ship high-quality features that solve real user problems.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and architecture discussions.
  • Contribute to and uphold engineering best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and observability.
  • Lead by example in identifying and resolving technical debt, improving performance, and increasing system reliability.
  • Mentor and support junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Own features from discovery through to delivery and ongoing support.
  • Champion engineering excellence by advocating for best practices across a broad engineering community.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of programming and software development experience. Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
  • Proven experience building modern front-end experiences using Next/Remix, React, etc.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and use of ORMs (e.g., Prisma or TypeORM).
  • Solid experience writing automated tests with tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, and Playwright.
  • Experience in cloud-based environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) and using CI/CD tooling (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions).
  • Experience in UX/UI design is preferred.
  • Knowledge of web security and applying security practices in web applications.
  • Demonstrated ability to take ownership beyond functional requirements to ensure system stability, resilience, and technical quality.
