Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Chipton-Ross is seeking multiple Software Engineers for a contract opportunity in Orlando, FL. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) * Proficiency in one or more of the following: C++, Python, Java
* Experience with Gitlab or equivalent CI/CD tools
* Experience with Windows and Linux Operating Systems POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE) * Experience with learning and implementing new tools/languages
* Experience integrating newer tools and technologies into established programs to improve software-process efficiency
* Experience with designing/developing GUI based applications
* Experience with live/virtual/constructive simulation. REQUIRED EDUCATION * Accredited Bachelor's degree in an engineering related discipline with the development life cycle as a software engineer WORK HOURS * 4/10-1st Shift ADDITIONAL * Candidate must be ablt to obtain a secret clearance ADDITIONAL INFORMATION * Applicants responding to this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements by currently possessing the ability to view classified government information. * Employment will be contingent on clearing a drug screen and background check.
