Help shape secure, AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions that turn complex security data into actionable insight. In this hands-on technical leadership role, you’ll guide the development of intelligent applications, automation, integrations, and dashboards across the Client’s Flywheel.

Overview

We’re seeking a Cybersecurity Contractor to lead full-stack AI and cybersecurity engineering across the Prepare, Scan, Remediation, and Monitor pods. You’ll collaborate with Architecture, Security Domain, SRE, QA, and client stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, production-ready capabilities.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Location: Remote with 10% possibility of travel
Pay Rate: $65-67/ hr

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of AI-enabled applications, agents, APIs, dashboards, integrations, and cybersecurity automation.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across frontend, backend, AI orchestration, integration, processing, and platform dependencies.
• Guide TypeScript/Vue.js 3 or React/Next.js development for real-time streams, vulnerability graphs, approval and code-diff workflows, data-intensive dashboards, and executive reporting.
• Lead Python/FastAPI/asyncio and Go microservice development, including resilient APIs, connectors, authentication, rate limiting, retries, idempotency, and event-driven processing.
• Implement LangGraph or custom agent loops, LLM function calling, structured outputs, model-agnostic gateways, evaluation, guardrails, server-side approvals, and observability.
• Integrate SIEM, Wiz, Tenable/Qualys, Checkmarx, GitHub, Jira/ServiceNow, cloud, CI/CD, and IAM platforms.
• Establish standards for secure coding, API contracts, code review, automated testing, telemetry, performance, scalability, deployment, and production readiness.
• Resolve technical blockers, mentor engineers, and support demonstrations and documentation.

Qualifications

• Must 6 + years of experience in Cybersecurity
• Experience owning distributed, data-intensive production systems.
• Deep experience with asynchronous programming and concurrency.
• Experience implementing agent tool execution beyond chatbot or RAG demonstrations.
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity domains.
• Proven capability across full-stack development, APIs, microservices, integrations, and production operations.
• Experience with Vue.js 3, LangGraph, and Go.
• Experience integrating the security, development, IT service management, cloud, CI/CD, and IAM platforms listed above.
