About the Role
Forsyth Barnes are partnering with a leading UK organisation to recruit an experienced Project Manager to join a growing Change & Delivery function.
This role is ideal for an established Project Manager who thrives in complex, highly governed environments and has a proven track record delivering business and technology change initiatives. Working within a matrix organisation, you'll lead projects from initiation through to delivery, collaborating with senior stakeholders, suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes.
Reporting to the Programme Director, you'll play a key role in delivering strategic transformation programmes while maintaining strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of business and technology change projects.
- Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables and success measures.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and resource forecasts.
- Manage project budgets, financial tracking and forecasting activities.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance and reporting processes.
- Proactively manage risks, issues, actions and dependencies (RAID).
- Coordinate activities across internal teams, third-party suppliers and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate governance forums, steering committees and stakeholder engagement sessions.
- Ensure project milestones, quality standards and delivery commitments are achieved.
- Support successful operational transition and business adoption of delivered change.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and delivery excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' experience delivering complex projects within technology, transformation or change environments.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior leadership teams.
- Demonstrable experience managing project governance, RAID logs and delivery reporting.
- Experience working within highly regulated, enterprise-scale or governance-heavy organisations.
- Strong supplier and third-party vendor management experience.
- Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to operate effectively within matrix structures and cross-functional teams.
- Pragmatic and solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
- Experience using recognised Project Management methodologies, tools and frameworks.
Desirable Experience
- Technology transformation or digital change programmes.
- Infrastructure, utilities, telecoms, financial services or regulated industry experience.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Exposure to operational readiness, business change and implementation activities.
Qualifications
- PRINCE2, APM, PMP or equivalent Project Management qualification preferred.
