Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Welder - Shredder & Heavy Equipment

K&S Tire Recycling is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Mechanic / Welder to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair tire shredders, conveyors, hydraulic systems, and heavy industrial equipment. The ideal candidate is mechanically skilled, experienced in welding and fabrication, and capable of minimizing equipment downtime in a fast-paced recycling facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG, stick, and other industrial welding and fabrication repairs.
• Maintain and repair primary and secondary tire shredders, liberators, conveyors, magnets, and screening equipment.
• Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical equipment issues.
• Replace bearings, shafts, belts, motors, gearboxes, shredder blades, and wear plates.
• Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, inspections, and emergency repairs.
• Repair and maintain loaders, skid steers, and other heavy equipment.
• Fabricate brackets, guards, chutes, and replacement components.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow OSHA safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or welding experience.

• Strong welding, fabrication, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

• Experience with shredders, crushers, conveyors, or recycling equipment preferred.

• Knowledge of hydraulics, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and industrial machinery.

• Ability to read mechanical drawings and use power tools safely.

• Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
