Job Description

Position Title: Lead Accounting SME, CIS Implementation
Location: Philadelphia, PA
Clearance Requirements: None
Pay Rate: $95.00/hour on W2

Position Description:
A public sector client in Philadelphia seeking a highly experienced Lead Accounting Subject Matter Expert for a 6-month contract, with potential extension. This pivotal role involves leading the financial and accounting processes during a key Customer Information System (CIS) implementation. You will serve as the functional authority for accounting operations, ensuring system design aligns with governmental standards, and facilitating seamless integration of billing, revenue, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. This onsite position offers an exciting opportunity to influence critical water revenue finance functions within a dynamic municipal environment.

Top Requirements:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with the Basis2 Customer Information System within Philadelphia Water Revenue Bureau operations
  • Proven expertise in water utility accounting, including billing, revenue recognition, accounts receivable, and financial reconciliations
  • Solid understanding of governmental accounting principles and financial controls
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into functional system solutions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and issue-resolution skills
  • Experience supporting system testing, data conversion validation, and post-implementation stabilization
