The Role • Operate heavy equipment such as hostlers, cranes, top loaders, and side loaders to move shipping containers. • Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks efficiently and safely. • Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and container movements. • Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is required. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks. • Strong commitment to safety and a keen attention to detail. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays. • Basic communication skills for effective teamwork. • Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening (cannabis use is strictly prohibited).
