Digital Specialist - CS&L Continuous Improvement
Quick Overview
Job Description
Business Capability# Digital Specialist - CS&L Continuous ImprovementR-178485 Melbourne, Australia Job Description Join our Mission to Lead the Future of Snacking. Make It Uniquely Yours. Mondelēz International empowers people to snack right in over 150 countries around the world. We're leading the future of snacking with iconic global and local brands such as Oreo, Cadbury, Philadelphia, Pascall, The Natural Confectionery Company, Belvita, Ritz and Toblerone with global revenues exceeding $31 billion USD.
You will be at the heart of our Customer Service & Logistics (CS&L) team, driving continuous improvement through digital solutions that make a real difference. Reporting into the Continuous Improvement function, you will build and maintain a pipeline of digital initiatives - dashboards, automations, analytics, and reporting tools - that deliver measurable cost savings, service improvements, and efficiency gains across our logistics operations.
This is a hands-on role where you will own the digitisation target for CS&L, translating business problems into practical digital solutions with clear, trackable outcomes. You will also play a critical role in ensuring the sustainability and integrity of the digital infrastructure that supports the team - moving us from fragile workarounds to robust, documented solutions. You are not a standalone function - you are embedded in the CS&L team, collaborating across functions and making the digital dimension of our collective goals a reality.
How you will contribute You will: Build and maintain a live Digital CI Pipeline of improvement initiatives, each with a clear problem statement, solution design, estimated benefit, and delivery date. Design and deliver digital solutions - automations, dashboards, and reporting tools - that reduce cost, improve service performance, and simplify how people work. Solutions will require a mix of building these solutions directly and also working with SME's on development.
Support and build digital capability across the ANZ ISC (Integrated Supply Chain) including developing and facilitating training sessions on various digital tools and case studies. Effectiveness of training to be assessed through post training surveys and examples of self-serve on creating digital solutions, lunch-and-learns, and monthly updates - building digital capability across the function. Report monthly on pipeline health and savings delivered year-to-date, with benefits validated and signed off by stakeholders.
Proactively identify opportunities where automation and digital tools can reduce manual effort, waste, or cost across logistics processes. Lead the National Distribution Control Tower project, maintaining a visible project plan with milestones, dependencies, and regular status updates for leadership. To include development and alignment of Business Requirements Documents (BRD) for each project phase, architecture and solution design requirements, facilitating integration, system and user testing, and hypercare support.
Conduct infrastructure risk assessments across existing tools, platforms, and automations, and develop business cases to drive sustainable solutions. Support the Integrated Lean Six Sigma (IL6S) methodology by embedding digital tools within each pillar, such as automated tracking for Autonomous Maintenance or data dashboards for Quality and Logistics. Maintain and enhance safety dashboards and digital reporting tools, ensuring they remain current and reliable.
What you will bring A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge: Experience building and maintaining dashboards, automations, and data-driven reporting tools in a business environment. Experience with Power BI, Databricks, and SAP is preferred. Familiarity with logistics, supply chain, or FMCG/CPG operations - understanding the processes your digital solutions will support. Ability to translate business problems into practical digital solutions with measurable outcomes tied to a dollar value.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - comfortable working with data and turning it into actionable insight. Experience with or willingness to learn continuous improvement methodologies such as IL6S, Lean, or Six Sigma. Strong communication skills, with a collaborative, team-first mindset - you share knowledge, teach others, and work across functions rather than in isolation. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritise effectively, and flag risks early when timelines shift.
Ideally experience with developing business cases including problem statements, options analysis, cost/benefit analysis, and ROI. A proactive approach - you spot opportunities and act on them without waiting to be asked. More about this role What you need to know about this position: You are the single point of accountability for the CS&L digitisation target, reporting progress directly to CS&L leadership. Your work will be visible, trackable, and tied to validated savings or measurable outcomes.
You will balance new initiative delivery with maintaining and strengthening the sustainability of existing digital infrastructure. Education / Certifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in information systems, data analytics, supply chain, engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience). Job specific requirements: Demonstrated experience with data visualisation and automation tools (e.g. Power BI, Databricks, Power Automate, Python, or similar). Understanding of end-to-end supply chain or logistics processes is highly regarded.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Work schedule: Standard business hours with no expectation of weekend work unless pre-agreed for a specific deadline. Hybrid working with option to work from Truganina or South Melbourne when in the office.# Relocation support available Business Unit Summary At Mondelez International, our mission is to provide consumers with the right snack, for the right moment, made in the right way.
