Senior QA Automation Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for Web, API, and Enterprise Applications. In this role, you will be responsible for driving end-to-end quality assurance across complex domains such as Banking, Healthcare, and Retail. You will work closely with cross-functional Agile teams to integrate continuous testing into CI/CD pipelines, execute automated and backend database validations, and ensure maximum test coverage and release reliability.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Framework Design & Test Automation: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reusable UI and API test automation frameworks using Java, Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), and Page Object Model (POM).
• API & Microservices Testing: Validate RESTful and SOAP web services using Rest Assured, Postman, and Swagger/OpenAPI. Perform event and message validation using Apache Kafka across distributed microservices architectures.
• Continuous Integration & DevOps: Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Database & Backend Validation: Execute complex SQL queries to validate data integrity, transaction accuracy, and business logic across databases like Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and MySQL.
• Cross-Browser & Performance Testing: Execute cross-browser and cross-platform automation using Selenium Grid and cloud execution platforms like LambdaTest. Conduct basic performance, throughput, and load testing using tools like Apache JMeter.
• Agile Collaboration & Test Management: Active participation in Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews). Author test plans, design comprehensive test cases, manage defect lifecycles in JIRA/Azure DevOps, and support UAT and production release validation.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 6+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on automation engineering for Web, API, and Enterprise systems.
• Education: Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Programming & Core Tech: Strong proficiency in Java, SQL, Maven/Gradle, Git, and sound knowledge of Python or JavaScript.
• Automation Tools: Advanced skills in Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, Cucumber (BDD), Rest Assured, Postman, and Selenium Grid.
• Databases & Streaming: Proficiency in SQL validation using Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, and familiarity with Kafka event streams.
• CI/CD & Cloud: Practical experience working with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and AWS or Azure cloud environments.
• Domain Knowledge: Added Advantage -- Proven background working in Insurance/ Banking environments
• +5 years experience in testing, Java, Selenium and understanding of automation frameworks.
