Job Description
Play a key role in shaping how operational risk is understood, managed and strengthened across a global organisation. Joining the Risk Management Group, you will help drive a strong risk culture, provide independent insight and influence strategic decision-making across Macquarie Capital, working with senior stakeholders across multiple regions and legal entities.

What role will you play?
You will act as a trusted adviser and independent risk partner to Macquarie Capital, providing oversight, challenge and insight to support effective operational risk management across EMEA while partnering with colleagues globally to promote consistent risk practices. Working closely with senior business leaders, legal entity representatives and governance forums, you will help identify emerging risks, enhance risk frameworks and support informed decision-making that protects the organisation and enables sustainable growth. Reporting to the Head of Macquarie Capital Operational Risk, you will also lead and develop a team across EMEA and the Americas, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment and ensuring resources, capability and expertise continue to evolve alongside business needs.
What you offer
• Significant experience within financial services gained in business, risk, audit or support functions, with a strong understanding of operational risk management principles and practices.
• Demonstrated ability to provide independent challenge, analyse complex information and form balanced risk-based recommendations that support effective decision-making.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence, advise and engage senior leaders, regulators and governance committees.
• Experience leading, developing and supporting high-performing teams within a global or matrixed environment, while driving collaboration and accountability.
• Degree qualification in Finance or a related discipline; professional qualifications such as CA, CFA, CPA or FRM are advantageous.

Our Risk Management Group works as an independent, and centralised function, responsible for independent and objective review and challenge, oversight, monitoring and reporting in relation to Macquarie's material risks. We are a global team that aims to manage the risks of today and anticipate the risks of tomorrow. Our divisions include compliance, credit, financial crime risk, market risk, operational risk, aggregate risk and prudential, and central.
