Cyber Range Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cyber Range Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cyber security, network engineering, and hands-on experience with building and maintaining cyber ranges for training and testing purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain cyber ranges and simulation environments for training, testing, and research.
• Configure and manage virtualized and cloud-based infrastructure for cyber ranges.
• Implement network topologies, security controls, and attack scenarios within the cyber range.
• Collaborate with security analysts, developers, and other team members to integrate tools and technologies.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and red team exercises within the cyber range.
• Document range configurations, procedures, and findings.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for range infrastructure and components.
• Stay current with emerging cyber threats, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in cyber security, network engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining cyber ranges or simulation environments.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, VPNs).
• Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) and automation tools.
• Understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux) and common applications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Clearance: Active Secret clearance required.
