Software Developer - Alkami
Summary:
The Software Developer role will focus on implementation, maintenance, enhancement, and support of high-availability, secure, financial-oriented Internet/web-based applications.

This role collaborates with product managers, designers, QA teams, and other developers to deliver reliable, efficient software.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field; preferred.
  • Proficiency in Alkami SDK for architecting custom widgets, modules, and scalable platform frameworks.
  • Technical knowledge and ability to create/maintain solutions in C#, HTML5, Java, JavaScript, .NET, .NET Core, PowerShell, SQL, and TypeScript.
  • Understanding of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile).
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to write unit and integration tests.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Optional certifications in cloud or DevOps helpful.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user needs and define software requirements.
  • Design algorithms, architecture, and technical specifications.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code in relevant programming languages.
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and fix defects across development and production environments.
  • Test and deploy applications, including unit and integration testing.
  • Maintain and improve existing software systems.
  • Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation including product setup guides and integration specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure high quality software delivery.
  • Maintain digital banking development standards and widget architecture frameworks.
  • Support production environment, including handling infrequent off-hours support tasks.
