Junior Manufacturing Engineer
£43,000 per annum + Training & Development + Recognition Scheme + Long-Term Stability + Pension
Luton, Bedfordshire (Commutable from: Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Milton Keynes, Hemel Hempstead, St Albans, Bedford, Watford, Hitchin)

Are you a Junior Manufacturing Engineer looking for a role where you can develop your skills through hands-on involvement in real manufacturing improvement projects?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established engineering organisation where you will be supported by experienced engineers, given exposure to a wide variety of production processes, and encouraged to build your technical capability through training, mentoring and practical experience.

The company are a specialist manufacturer with a long-standing heritage and a global footprint, known for delivering high-quality products into demanding industries. Due to continued success, they are now looking to add to their manufacturing engineering function.

In this role you will support process development and continuous improvement across machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, testing and inspection. You will help develop production documentation, support tooling and fixture design, assist with PFMEA activity, and work closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering teams.

This role would suit an individual from a manufacturing background looking to deepen their technical skill set, gain responsibility, and develop long term within a respected engineering business.

The Role:

  • Support development and improvement of manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Tooling/fixture support, process documentation and continuous improvement activity
  • Assist with PFMEA, root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Cross-functional work with Production, Quality, Supply Chain and Engineering
  • On-site, 40 hours per week, permanent position

The Person:

  • Engineering qualification (Degree/Higher or Advanced Apprenticeship) with practical manufacturing experience
  • Comfortable reading engineering drawings and using CAD (SolidWorks or similar)
  • Genuine interest in manufacturing processes and continuous improvement
