Electrical Test Engineering Co-Op

​Fairport, NY is the headquarters for the Radionix sales & marketing organization in the United States and serves as the primary site for research and development, engineering, quality, and product management for intrusion detection systems, including state-of-the-art sensors, control panels, software, communications and more.

Responsible for development and execution of solutions for engineering integration verification and manufacturing functional verification of new and existing security products. Individual will participate in a structured product development process analyzing requirements for testability, documenting test cases, developing and executing test procedures, analyzing test data, documenting and communicating status and results to the project team. 

Principal Responsibilities:

• Test Solution Development & Execution.
• Work with internal/external customers to analyze and document test needs. 
• Identify and propose test strategies that meet project technical and timing requirements.
• Assist in development of electrical, electromechanical and software platforms to facilitate testing.
• Ensure test and test tooling/equipment documentation are current and accurate. Including required test procedures, mechanical drawings, schematics, and parts list results.
• Verification & Troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineers and test team to develop and execute test plan, analyze and document results. 
• Design execute & evaluate results of repeatability & reliability studies. 
• Troubleshoot problems with product & test equipment performance, propose and implement improvements. 

Required Qualifications: 

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Engineering Technology. 
• 1+ years experience in mechanical, electrical, software or RF design testing  from professional work and/or co=op/internship experience.
• 1+ years of software testing methods and strategies, including automated test methodologies for electronics and firmware embedded products. 
• 1+ years of experience in using test equipment: oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators. 
• Familiarity with equipment calibration processes. 
• Detail oriented, Strong analytical aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Effective troubleshooting skills, system and component level.
• Experience with test automation & scripting languages using tools such as  LabVIEW.
• Experience with TestComplete or TestStand, or related platforms.

The U.S. hourly rate for this co-op position is $25.00-$26.00 per hour. per year. Within the range, individual pay is determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to, work experience and job knowledge, complexity of the role, job location, etc.
