We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our high-profile contract in Teddington. This is a Monday-Friday position working 08:00-17:00 with one week in seven working 10:00-19:00.

Purpose:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring all environmental conditions and critical building systems are maintained to the highest standard.
You will carry out PPM, reactive and breakdown work on all mechanical systems, with knowledge of HVAC, hot & cold-water systems and generators, and the ability to fault-find using graphical and alarm data. Basic electrical knowledge is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical plant in accordance with site task schedules and asset lists
Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made. These reactive calls to also include concessionary stores and fabric related items
Complete and submit all paperwork for reactive and breakdown tasks and ensure compliance with contractual KPI’s/SLA’s
Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, subcontractors and client representatives and ensure professional image of Smart Managed Solutions
Ensure that all plant rooms are always locked and are kept clean and tidy
Supervise and monitor sub-contractors works whilst they are on site
· Ensure compliance with Permit to Work, safety procedures, and client requirements; promote safe practices with correct PPE and follow Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
Education and Training:
Formally trained in a mechanical engineering discipline (e.g. HVAC, Plumbing) to City and Guilds Level 3 or NVQ Level 2
2 + years’ experience in a similar role
