Job Description

Job Title: HR Officer

Location: Pembroke Dock

Salary: £32,597 £34,434 per annum, pro rata

Job Type: Part-Time, 18 Month Fixed Term Contract

Hours: 3 days per week (22.2 hours total). Fixed 3 day pattern ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (negotiable).

Job Description:

Our client is a public sector Authority dedicated to protecting one of Wales most famous, breathtaking coastal landscapes. They look after the land, the heritage, and the communities within it and now, they need you to look after their people!

You ll be the go-to person for day to day HR support and Health & Safety advice. You ll keep things running smoothly, help shape new policies, and find ways to make our client's HR service even better.

What you'll be doing:
  • Provide professional guidance on HR issues, ensuring alignment with current employment legislation and Authority policies.
  • Act as the day to day specialist lead on Health and Safety advice across the organisation.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and delivery of the HR Strategy and progressive HR policies.
  • Generate insightful HR reports and Management Information Systems (MIS) to drive smart decision making.
  • Support recruitment, performance management, and disciplinary/grievance procedures while nurturing strong working relationships across teams.
  • Assist with designing and delivering engaging training and briefing materials.
  • Assist with monitoring HR budgets, raising purchase orders, and handling routine financial admin.
What you'll bring:
  • Fluency in Welsh (B2 level) is essential for this role, as you'll be communicating in Welsh daily.
  • You'll have a CIPD Level 5
  • IOSH qualification (desirable)
  • You know your way around HR software (ideally Cezanne).
  • You re a motivated team player who stays calm under pressure.
