Consultant - SAP

Bristlecone India Limited is seeking a seasoned SAP ABAP Specialist to join our S4 HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves designing, developing, and enhancing ABAP solutions across SAP ECC and S/4HANA landscapes, ensuring high‑quality custom applications and seamless integration with the broader SAP technical architecture.

• Develop, test, and deploy ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (BTE, BADI, BAPI, OData, Fiori).
• Perform code reviews and enforce best practices for modern ABAP syntax and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Support migration and integration projects between SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents, providing root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications and test cases.
• Participate in agile delivery cycles, sprint planning, and daily stand‑ups.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge‑sharing sessions.
• Ensure compliance with SAP security, transport management, and change‑control procedures.
• Stay updated on SAP roadmap, new ABAP features, and emerging SAP technologies.

• 5+ years of hands‑on SAP ABAP development experience in ECC and/or S/4HANA.
• Proficiency in modern ABAP concepts (ABAP OO, CDS, AMDP, RAP, BOPF).
• Strong understanding of SAP technical architecture, data dictionary, and transport system.
• Experience with SAP UI technologies (SAPUI5/Fiori) and OData services.
• Knowledge of integration techniques (IDocs, ALE, RFC, SOAP/REST).
• Ability to write efficient, clean, and maintainable code following SAP standards.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration tools and best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities in a multicultural environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; SAP certification is a plus.
