Job description

  • Location: Elk Grove Village, IL
  • Facility: Ascension Alexian Brothers
  • Schedule: Day shift  l  Full-time
  • Coordinate nursing program activities, resources, care plans, and therapy programs within a clinical specialty or department.
  • Oversee program implementation, recommend and enforce clinical standards, policies, and procedures, and act as a resource for nursing staff.
  • Supervise nursing staff, ensure implementation of care plans and therapy programs, and secure required equipment and resources.
  • Assemble, maintain, and coordinate all required clinical and program documentation.

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Additional Preferences:

  • Previous cardiac experience needed
  • Experience with LVAD desired
