Job Description

Position: Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer Location: Stockton-on-Tees Salary/Package: £43,000 + up to approx. £5,000 call-out earnings, Van/Fuel Card, PPE & Tools, 25 days holiday +8 Banks, Pension, Career development.

Purpose of the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing mechanical and electrical services business operating across the North of England.

The role involves servicing, maintaining, repairing and installing air conditioning, refrigeration, air handling and extraction systems across a range of commercial and public sector sites, including schools, universities, MOD sites, factories and other commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and installations.<br />Work on air conditioning units, refrigeration equipment, AHUs and commercial/domestic extraction systems.<br />Diagnose faults and identify additional works required.<br />Lead jobs from planning through to completion, working safely and efficiently.<br />Complete maintenance records, job sheets and relevant certification.<br />Liaise professionally with clients and provide excellent customer service.<br />Work independently while supporting other members of the maintenance team.<br />Participate in the call-out rota where applicable.<br />Essential Requirements Recognised apprenticeship in a relevant discipline – NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.<br />F-Gas and ODS Regulations qualification/experience.<br />Good understanding of Health &amp; Safety, COSHH and M&amp;E regulations.<br />Site Safety/CSCS Health &amp; Safety qualification or equivalent.<br />Strong diagnostic, problem-solving and communication skills.<br />Ability to organise and manage your own workload across multiple sites.<br />Full UK driving licence.<br />Successful candidates will be subject to advanced DBS, Police and MOD vetting<br />Desirable IPAF &amp; PASMA<br />IOSH / SMSTS or equivalent<br />Experience with measuring and quotation preparation<br />Basic electrical knowledge, including 18th Edition<br />Progression through the company is possible, with in-depth experience of the role being an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided where required.
