Job Description

Netzschutztechniker / Inbetriebnahmetechniker Umspannwerke m/w/d | Nürnberg, Germany | Hybrid This employer is a respected leader in the energy infrastructure sector, playing a crucial role in the energy transition throughout Southern Germany. They are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to significant new build and modernization projects for substations up to 380kV. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of developing critical energy systems and supporting climate protection goals. The Role • Lead the commissioning of electrical installations for medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations, including renewable energy integration. • Analyze and resolve faults within protection and control systems, collaborating with internal expert teams to drive improvements. • Program and parameterize high-tech protection and field control devices from leading manufacturers like Siemens, Schneider, and ABB. • Utilize advanced testing equipment from renowned manufacturers such as OMICROM for precise commissioning of digital protection and control technology. • Foster strong teamwork and collaboration with project management, planning, and assembly teams. • Actively contribute to the green energy future by supporting projects in energy transmission, distribution, and grid connection for wind and solar parks. What You'll Need • Completed vocational training in Electrical Engineering. • Proven expertise in protection and/or control technology, with prior experience in commissioning switchgear according to standard communication protocols (IEC 60870-5-101/103/104). • Familiarity with parameterization software such as Siemens DIGSI 4/5 and Schneider MICOM S1, as well as OMICROM TestUniverse software. • Strong team player with excellent decision-making and communication skills, including fluent German. • Possess a valid Class B driver's license and willingness to travel regionally (typically Monday-Thursday).
