Job Overview

Our client is executing a large-scale migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to AWS. We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to assess migrating workloads, identify security risks and modernization opportunities, and partner with Cloud Engineering teams to strengthen the cloud security platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct security assessments of applications and infrastructure migrating to AWS
• Review workload architecture, connectivity, privileged access, authentication, and authorization models
• Assess network security controls including security groups, firewall rules, and segmentation
• Evaluate vulnerability management, OS hardening, and security configurations
• Partner with Cloud Engineering to enhance Terraform modules, IAM frameworks, and security guardrails
• Identify security risks, technical debt, and modernization opportunities during migration
• Support implementation of AWS Well-Architected Framework best practices
• Track recurring findings and recommend platform-level security improvements
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture, Risk & Governance, and Network Engineering teams

Required Skills

• AWS Cloud Security and cloud migration experience
• Strong knowledge of IAM, RBAC, and privileged access controls
• Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
• Knowledge of cloud networking, firewalls, security groups, and network segmentation
• Experience with vulnerability management, OS hardening, and security monitoring
• Familiarity with SIEM integration, threat detection, and incident response
• Understanding of cloud governance, risk management, and security compliance frameworks

Preferred Skills

• AWS or other cloud-specific certifications
• Security certifications such as CISSP or GIAC
