Lead a Complex Enterprise Workforce Transformation

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Project Manager to lead the implementation of a new workforce management and timekeeping platform, replacing a legacy enterprise solution. This high-visibility contract role will coordinate a complex ecosystem spanning timekeeping, scheduling, payroll, HR, finance, point-of-sale, data, and third-party integrations.

This is a hands-on project leadership role for someone who can see the big picture while managing the details—connecting dependencies across business and technical workstreams, challenging assumptions, anticipating risks, and driving teams and vendors toward successful implementation and go-live.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the enterprise workforce management implementation from planning through deployment and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Own the integrated project plan, critical path, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and implementation schedule.
  • Coordinate complex integrations across workforce management, scheduling, payroll, financial, point-of-sale, data, benefits, and enterprise systems.
  • Translate inputs from multiple workstreams into a cohesive, executable implementation plan.
  • Identify cross-functional dependencies, sequencing conflicts, resource constraints, and delivery risks before they impact critical milestones.
  • Evaluate deployment scenarios and recommend viable go-live strategies based on business, technical, and operational requirements.
  • Lead project governance, including status reporting, risk and issue management, scope control, decision tracking, and escalation.
  • Drive alignment and accountability across HR, Finance, IT, business teams, leadership, and external vendors.
  • Lead planning for testing, readiness assessments, cutover, contingency planning, deployment, and stabilization.
  • Develop sufficient functional and technical understanding of the solution to challenge assumptions and connect decisions across workstreams.
  • Ensure meetings and workshops result in clear decisions, owners, deadlines, and completed deliverables.
  • Communicate complex project risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to executive and business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Significant experience leading large-scale enterprise technology implementations with multiple systems, business functions, vendors, and stakeholder groups.
  • Proven experience owning complex integrated project plans, critical paths, dependencies, resources, risks, issues, scope, and decision management.
  • Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to understand complex integrations, data flows, business processes, and operational dependencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify cross-functional risks, gaps, sequencing conflicts, and downstream impacts.
  • Experience leading complex testing, deployment, cutover, contingency planning, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and hold internal stakeholders and external vendors accountable for delivery.
  • Strong executive communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to translate technical risks and dependencies into clear business impacts and recommendations.
  • Ability to remain highly engaged and available during critical implementation activities, workshops, testing, cutover, and issue resolution.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading workforce management, timekeeping, payroll, HCM, or ERP implementations.
  • Experience with UKG Pro Workforce Management, Kronos Workforce Central, Oracle Fusion, or comparable enterprise platforms.
  • Experience managing complex multi-vendor implementations.
  • Experience leading enterprise implementations involving HR, payroll, finance, scheduling, and operational systems.
  • PMP or comparable project management certification.
