Interim Finance Officer

Your New CompanyWe are currently recruiting for a Finance Officer to join a well-established organisation based in Bath on an initial 3-month temporary contract, with the potential for extension. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy finance team and support the organisation through a period of increased workload and ongoing business activity.

Your New Role
As Finance Officer, you will support the day-to-day financial operations of the business, including processing purchase and sales invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, completing bank reconciliations, assisting with month-end duties, processing expenses, resolving finance queries, and maintaining accurate financial records. You will work closely with the wider finance team to ensure all financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in a Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, or similar finance position. You will possess strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail, good communication skills, and experience using accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Dynamics, or a similar finance system. AAT qualifications or ongoing studies would be advantageous but are not essential. You must be available to start at short notice and be comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Get in Return
In return, you will receive a competitive hourly rate of 15.00 - 19.00 per hour depending on experience, a minimum 3-month contract with potential for extension, flexible and hybrid working opportunities where applicable, weekly pay, and the chance to gain valuable experience within a supportive and professional finance team.
