Location: 614 S. Ware Blvd., Tampa, Florida 33619

Position Type: On-site 5 days/week

Hours: M-F, 9am-5pm

Salary: $75,000 - $85,000/year

About the Role:

The Senior Accountant will support the Financial Controllers of Macnaught and LockNLube entities in Month-End reporting, AP, AR, Balance Sheet reconciliations and statutory audit. This role is based out of our Tampa, FL office, and you will liaise with our Group Accounting function based in Australia. This is an important role within a growing international organization and offers a clear opportunity for professional development. 

Who You Are:

We are looking for someone motivated and energetic who is excited to be part of a small, but mighty team dedicated to collaboratively working together. As the Senior Accountant, you would have excellent time management skills and enjoy juggling multiple competing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills are important to us, as well as proficiency in Excel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monthly reconciliation of balance sheet and bank accounts.
  • Prepare and assist in annual statutory audit.
  • Assist the Financial Controllers with preparation of monthly financials and month end P&L statements.
  • Assist in preparing accurate financial management reports and ensure all financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Ensure all financial records are maintained in compliance with company’s policies & procedures.
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Prepare accurate management reports and ensure financial reporting deadlines are met.
  • Review and file sales tax, state taxes and federal taxes and their reports and payments.
  • Monitor Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities.
  • Assist in overdue debtors’ collections.
  • Oversee day-to-day activities of the overseas shared services team.
  • Take ownership of audit requests and help prioritize, coordinate, and provide supporting documentation throughout the audit process.
  • Assist in managing ERP improvements and implementing new technology and business solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology and automation to improve accounting and business processes.
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance.
  • 5-7+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (preferred) or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, financial statements and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Experience working in a product-led, manufacturing and distribution environment.
  • Experience with businesses that sell through multiple channels, particularly e-commerce.
  • Experience with high-volume e-commerce transactions, Amazon, direct-to-consumer/e-commerce websites, and/or B2B sales is highly desirable.
  • Strong Excel skills.
