Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Network Test Engineer to lead the testing and qualification of network devices and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for carrier-grade networking equipment, ensuring high performance, scalability, reliability, and interoperability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for networking equipment and features.
  • Set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex, multi-vendor networking lab environments that mimic live networks.
  • Validate the performance, scalability, and reliability of service provider networking solutions.
  • Perform traffic generation and analysis using tools such as Ixia/Keysight and OTDR.
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineering, QA, and Operations teams to identify, debug, and resolve complex issues.
  • Document test cases, test results, defects, and troubleshooting findings with high clarity and detail.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 7–10 years of experience in carrier-grade telecom equipment testing and qualification, including routers and switches.
  • Proven experience with wireless technologies, particularly mmWave and E-band point-to-point technologies.
  • Strong understanding of key RF performance indicators, including:
    • Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)
    • Bit Error Rate (BER)
    • Receive Signal Level (RSL)
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 protocols, including:
    • Ethernet
    • VLANs
    • IP
    • MPLS
    • BGP
    • QoS
  • Demonstrated ability to set up, configure, and troubleshoot complex, large-scale network environments across multi-vendor platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with traffic generators and analyzers such as Ixia/Keysight and OTDR.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • PON testing experience is highly desirable.
Additional Skills – Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in Python for test automation using Pytest or similar frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of ESM, OLT, PON, and ONT testing.
  • Knowledge of Linux-based test environments and shell scripting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test integration.
  • Familiarity with OSS/BSS systems.
