The Role

• Conduct analysis and evaluations of submarine platform manoeuvring performance, from concept design through to in-service support.
• Develop, verify, and validate mathematical manoeuvring models using physical model test data.
• Collaborate with enterprise partners to advance modelling capabilities, processes, and toolsets.
• Work with Naval Architect teams and customers to deliver safe and innovative submarine solutions.
• Support and conduct hydrodynamic sea trials.

What You'll Need

• Prior experience in ship or submarine manoeuvring modelling.
• A strong understanding of hydrodynamic principles and methods.
• A degree in Naval Architecture, Aeronautical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work with experts across Naval Architecture and Whole Boat Design teams on complex submarine programs.
• Must meet minimum security and export control restrictions, including Baseline Personnel Security Standard.
