Sr Manager, Lost Time Administration and Strategy

American Airlines is seeking a Sr Manager, Lost Time Administration and Strategy to lead enterprise-wide programs that reduce employee lost time while ensuring compliance and care. In this role, you will oversee leave, disability, and workers' compensation administration, set strategy, and drive process improvements that enhance safety, productivity, and employee experience. You'll partner with HR, operations, and safety leaders, use data and analytics to guide decisions, manage vendors, and develop policies that align with our customer-focused, safety-driven culture in a fast-paced global airline environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and operations for lost time, including leave, disability, and workers' compensation programs
• Ensure regulatory compliance and consistent policy application across the network
• Use data and analytics to monitor trends, outcomes, and cost drivers, recommending improvements
• Drive process optimization to reduce lost time and improve employee experience and safety
• Partner with HR, Safety, Operations, and Legal to align programs with business goals
• Manage relationships with vendors and third-party administrators, ensuring service quality and value
• Develop and update policies, communications, and training related to lost time programs
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on program performance and risks
