Job Description
Senior Associates support client engagements across a variety of industries and service lines. They work independently on most assigned tasks, assist with larger and more complex engagements, and serve as a key resource for Associates through training, mentoring, and review of work. Senior Associates are expected to manage multiple engagements at once, meet established deadlines, and demonstrate strong organizational and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, and other tax returns
- Perform audits, reviews, compilations, and other assurance services
- Prepare financial statements, related disclosures, and required reports
- Provide technical guidance and tax planning services to clients
- Apply sound judgment and analysis to make client recommendations, including year-end and ongoing tax planning
- Review Associates’ work, provide feedback, and guide necessary revisions
- Train and mentor Associates, supporting their professional development
- Assume responsibility for the completion of tax returns under the supervision of the Accountant in Charge
- Communicate engagement progress and feedback to Managers, Senior Managers, and Principles
- Participate in business development initiatives
- Collaborate as part of a team to deliver high-quality tax and accounting services
- Utilize cloud-based technology and tax software to complete engagements efficiently
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business required, a Bachelors in Accounting preferred
- 3+ years of accounting required including experience managing staff, preferably in public accounting
- Licensed CPA or CMA license or working towards obtaining preferred
- Understanding of Federal and State tax laws and regulations
- Strong technology skills
- Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Team player
- Ability to think innovatively
