Job Description

An excellent opportunity for a Quantitative Analyst to join a highly talented and technically focused team based in central London.

The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting, analysing and manipulating large and complex datasets, developing quantitative models and using statistical techniques to identify trends, patterns and opportunities.

Working closely with analysts, developers and other technical specialists, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of analytical models and data-driven solutions within a fast-paced environment.

We are looking for a highly analytical and forward-thinking individual who is comfortable working independently while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret large, complex datasets to identify trends and insights.
  • Develop and enhance quantitative, mathematical and statistical models.
  • Apply probability and statistical techniques to real-world problems.
  • Develop, test and validate analytical models and methodologies.
  • Use programming languages to analyse data and develop quantitative solutions.
  • Work closely with developers to implement analytical models and solutions.
  • Back-test models against historical data and assess their performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing models, processes and analytical techniques.
  • Communicate complex analytical findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

  • PhD or MSc in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Data Science, or another highly quantitative discipline.
  • Strong understanding of probability, statistics and mathematical modelling.
  • Experience working with large datasets and performing detailed data analysis.
  • Proficiency in one or more of Python, C#, C++ or Java.
  • Experience within data science, quantitative analysis or statistical modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • A proactive and inquisitive approach to solving complex problems.

Desirable

  • Experience developing predictive or statistical models.
  • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced statistical techniques.
  • Experience with time-series analysis, regression or optimisation.
  • Experience working with real-time or high-volume datasets.
  • A genuine interest in data-driven decision making and quantitative analysis.
