Vehicle Dynamics CAE Engineer

Join a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle team as a Vehicle Dynamics CAE Engineer, where you will help shape ride quality, handling, and overall vehicle performance for a premium mobility experience. This fully onsite role in Foster City offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional engineering teams and make a meaningful impact on the development of advanced vehicle systems.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-fidelity multibody vehicle dynamics models using MSC Adams
• Partner with design and supplier teams to improve component performance for ride and handling
• Create suspension, full vehicle, and powertrain load outputs in alignment with established processes
• Define and refine vehicle dynamics targets and metrics using test data and simulation results
• Support performance balancing across vehicle integration attributes and software controls
• Contribute to active safety performance development and validation efforts
• Correlate simulation outputs with physical vehicle or subsystem measurements and improve model accuracy over time

Skills

• 5+ years of relevant experience in vehicle dynamics performance development and simulation
• Hands-on experience with vehicle dynamics CAE tools, including MSC Adams, CarMaker, and MATLAB/Simulink
• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
• Strong understanding of dynamics CAE-to-test correlation
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers across multiple disciplines

Preferred Skills

• Experience working with physical testing and virtual validation workflows
• Background in chassis, vehicle integration, or active safety development
• Familiarity with supplier collaboration in automotive engineering programs
• Experience supporting responsive, controllable vehicle platforms
