About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Manager, Production Scheduling to lead the scheduling team responsible for our non-sterile compounded production. This position manages and develops the site's production schedulers and owns the translation of the production plan into executable compounding schedules that ensure optimal use of labor, materials, and manufacturing capacity to support forecasted demand, customer delivery targets, and inventory objectives. The ideal candidate is a proactive people leader with a strong understanding of integrated planning systems, supply chain dynamics, and cross-functional collaboration across the operations planning team.

You Will:

  • Lead, manage, and develop the team of production schedulers—setting priorities, coaching, reviewing output, and ensuring consistent scheduling practices and coverage.

  • Own the non-sterile compounding schedule end to end, generating detailed weekly and daily schedules that ensure timely availability of finished goods while minimizing waste and downtime.

  • Translate mid- and long-term production plans and demand forecasts into executable compounding schedules in alignment with inventory policies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the operations planning team—partnering with production planners and demand planning to align schedules with the plan of record and communicate risks and opportunities.

  • Partner with Compounding Operations to evaluate capacity constraints and align workforce availability with production needs, including overtime, shift planning, and staffing optimization.

  • Translate demand into actionable resource plans including labor, machine time, and equipment utilization.

  • Develop capacity models and what-if scenarios to support strategic decisions around staffing, sequencing, and contingency planning.

  • Monitor production performance against plan and schedule, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to drive schedule adherence.

  • Implement and maintain tools, dashboards, and KPIs to monitor real-time resource allocation and communicate schedule status and forecast accuracy to leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement to reduce cycle times, improve adherence, and scale scheduling processes as the business grows.

You Have:

  • 5+ years experience in at least 1 of the following: Production scheduling, production planning, or resource planning, with demonstrated experience leading or developing others.

  • Proficient in inventory management concepts with an understanding of the financial and operational implications of planning and scheduling decisions.

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field; APICS/CPIM certification a plus.

  • Experience in pharmaceutical or pharmacy production/manufacturing environments a plus.

  • Excel proficiency including experience with data manipulations – Lookups, PivotTables, External Data Connections.

  • Basic SQL and/or Python experience is a plus.

  • Deep knowledge of supply chain and manufacturing planning and scheduling processes.

  • Strong analytical skills and comfort with data-driven decision making.

  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Our Benefits (there are more but here are some highlights):

  • Competitive salary & equity compensation for full-time roles

  • Unlimited PTO, company holidays, and quarterly mental health days

  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental & vision, and parental leave

  • Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP)

  • 401k benefits with employer matching contribution

  • Offsite team retreats

We are committed to building a workforce that reflects diverse perspectives and prioritizes ethics, wellness, and a strong sense of belonging. If you're excited about this role, we encourage you to apply—even if you're not sure if your background or experience is a perfect match.
