Role: Mainframe Systems Administrators

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

 

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong experience with Unisys ClearPath Libra Mainframe administration
• Experience installing and configuring Unisys ClearPath MCP hardware and software
• Hands-on experience with:
  • OPS Console
  • System Editor
  • OC Manager
  • Software Installation
  • Network & Storage Connectivity
• Experience with ClearPath Software Series VM
• Knowledge of Windows networking, iSCSI, and integration with Windows/Linux servers
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Unisys MCP utilities:
  • DMSII
  • COMS
  • CCF
  • Security Center
  • CANDE/WFL
  • System Assistant
  • NX/Services
  • OLEDB
  • Secure Transport
  • Log Analyzer
• Experience interpreting program dumps and using LOGANALYZER
• Knowledge of MCP patching, Interim Corrections, and software compilation
• TCP/IP networking, NX/NET, Win RPC
• SAN and storage experience (EMC Storage, Cisco MDS)
• Cloud exposure (AWS and Azure)

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support Unisys ClearPath MCP mainframes
• Maintain mainframe hardware, software, storage, and network connectivity
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
• Develop automation scripts and utility programs
• Support Windows/Linux systems integrated with the mainframe environment
• Work closely with infrastructure, development, and operations teams
• Perform software upgrades, patching, and system maintenance
