Security Analyst

We are seeking a Security Analyst – Consultant to support an ongoing cybersecurity initiative within a complex enterprise environment. This is a hands-on technical role for a security professional with experience in network security, network infrastructure, security monitoring, and compliance.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently, managing shifting priorities, troubleshooting complex security issues, and collaborating with technical teams and business stakeholders.

Required Technical Skills

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in network design, implementation, administration, or support.
• Hands-on experience with IT security and/or system administration.
• Strong understanding of secure network design and security architecture.
• Experience with routing and switching protocols.
• Experience with enterprise firewalls and firewall rule management.
• Knowledge of network security monitoring, auditing, and threat detection.
• Experience analyzing logs, alerts, network telemetry, and security events.
• Experience with Windows, macOS, and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with IDS/IPS technologies.
• Experience with SIEM platforms, such as Splunk or IBM QRadar.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or Qualys.
• Understanding of data protection, access controls, and secure network practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in regulated or compliance-driven environments.
• Experience supporting healthcare IT or government environments.
• Knowledge of NIST, FISMA/RMF, HIPAA, or similar security frameworks.
• Experience with cloud network security, particularly Azure or AWS.
• Experience supporting multi-tenant cloud environments and vendor integrations.
• Familiarity with security compliance and repeatable enterprise security processes.

Education & Certifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Network/security-focused certification such as CCNA, PCNSE, or equivalent.
