About The Role Cloud Systems Administrator (CSA2) Location: Annapolis Junction, MD Peraton is seeking a skilled Cloud Systems Administrator to support our mission-driven Cyber platform team.

In this role, you'll help sustain and optimize a cloud-based enterprise platform built with Java and Free and Open-Source Software technologies including Kubernetes, Hadoop, and Accumulo-enabling execution of data-intensive analytics on managed infrastructure. As a Cloud Systems Administrator, you will be part of the Operations Team responsible for maintaining day-to-day platform stability, supporting customer operations, and troubleshooting technical issues across complex Linux-based environments. This is an on-call position that provides Tier 1 through Tier 3 operational support.

You will work in a fast-paced technical environment where attention to detail, proactive task management, and the ability to independently diagnose operational issues are essential to mission success.

What You'll Do

• Support daily operations of cloud-based analytic platforms
• Provide Tier 1-3 support for infrastructure and system-level issues
• Troubleshoot operational issues within Linux environments
• Manage RedHat/CentOS provisioning using kickstart
• Perform Linux/Unix networking analysis using tools such as nmap and tcpdump
• Support DNS administration including hosts files and DHCP
• Assist with containerized and distributed platform technologies
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve system performance issues

• 7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS command line
• 7 years of experience Linux/Unix networking (nmap, tcpdump, firewalls)
• 7 years of experience RedHat/CentOS kickstart/provisioning (Setting it up)
• 2+ years of experience RedHat DNS Administration (DNS, hosts files, DHCP)
• Bachelor's degree in system engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
• 8570 IAT Level I or higher (preferably Security+) is required and must be obtained prior to starting
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with PolyOne of the following certifications are required:
• AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
• CDP Administrator - Private Cloud Base
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)Possession of a Cloud Certification and 8570 certification is required and will be verified as part of the interview or offer process.

Details Target Salary Range: $135,000 - $216,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
