Data Scientist | Mount Rainier, United States | Hybrid | $107,900.00 - $195,050.00

This employer is a leading technology company with a strong reputation for innovation in security engineering and mission solutions. They are seeking a Data Scientist with an entrepreneurial spirit to join a dynamic and growing data science team that plays a critical role in national security.

The Role

  • Build statistical and machine learning models, including natural language processing (NLP), to develop automated solutions for complex challenges.
  • Construct and execute complex database search queries across multiple databases using SQL and API interfaces.
  • Perform web scraping and process unstructured data using various techniques.
  • Leverage automation and machine learning for data management, scenario prediction, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Utilize and learn new technologies such as AWS and Git.
  • Support projects critical to National Security within a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Need

  • U.S. Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and Polygraph required.
  • BS degree in a technical domain with 8-12 years of relevant experience, or MS with 6-10 years, or Doctorate.
  • Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills for data extraction and relational databases.
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning, and natural language processing (NLP) libraries (e.g., spaCy, Hugging Face, NLTK, TensorFlow).
  • Solid understanding of frequentist statistics, probability, predictive modeling, computer science concepts, data architecture, and statistical methods.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Plotly, Seaborn, Matplotlib).
