Job Description
The Lumber Manufactory (TLM) is building the future of sustainable lumber with next-generation sawmill technology. We design and operate state-of-the-art modular sawmills that produce high-grade dimensional wood products with greater efficiency and less waste. Backed by leading investors including Cantos, Slow Ventures, Banter Capital, Humba Ventures, and Ravelin Capital.
We're hiring Equipment Operators to run the heavy equipment that keeps logs and lumber moving through our New Albany mill and yard. If you've run loaders or other heavy machinery and take pride in doing it safely, we want to talk to you.
What you'll do
Operate loaders, forklifts, and other yard equipment to move logs and lumber
Load and unload trucks, and keep the yard organized
Do daily inspections and routine checks on your equipment
Report mechanical issues or safety hazards right away
Work with production and yard crews to keep material flowing
What we're looking for
Experience running heavy equipment in an industrial, construction, or yard setting
Equipment operator certification is a plus
Strong safety habits and attention to detail
Comfortable working outdoors in all weather
Dependable attendance, reliable transportation, and able to pass a background check
Schedule and pay: Full-time. Multiple shifts available, including days. We'll talk through what works for you during your interview. Starting pay $16+/hr. Training and certification provided.
Location: On site at our mill in New Albany, Mississippi.
