Job Description
Birchwell Associates are recruiting for an experienced Solar PV Project Manager to join an established renewable energy business delivering commercial Solar PV projects across the UK.
The role will involve managing projects across the full lifecycle, from early design and feasibility through construction, installation and completion.
The position is based from Wadebridge, Cornwall, with travel to project sites across the UK.
The Role
- Manage Solar PV projects from design through to installation and handover
- Coordinate design engineers, subcontractors and project teams
- Manage Health & Safety requirements, including RAMS
- Support project design, estimating, budgeting and procurement
- Carry out site surveys and technical assessments
- Liaise with clients, DNOs, suppliers and consultants
- Monitor programme, costs and project delivery
- Provide technical input during feasibility and pre-construction stages
- Ensure projects are delivered safely and to specification
- Travel to project sites across the UK as required
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience within the renewable energy industry
- Strong experience specifically within commercial Solar PV
- Experience with Solar PV design, installation and/or operation
- Previous project management experience
- Strong understanding of construction Health & Safety
- Knowledge of Solar PV project finance and commercial delivery
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Good Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience using 2D AutoCAD
- Full UK driving licence
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK
