Our mission is to empower individuals to rebuild their lives and achieve independence. Right now, we are looking for a Team Leader to play a pivotal role in our Thanet Crisis & Recovery Service.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
This role is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership to a team of Recovery Workers, ensuring the safe, effective and smooth operation of the Recovery House. Working closely with the Service Manager, you will support the delivery of a recovery-focused, psychologically informed and person-centred service, helping residents to achieve positive wellbeing and recovery outcomes. You will provide guidance to staff, oversee referrals and admissions, support effective risk management and safeguarding practice, and make operational decisions when required.
You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of service quality, ensuring staff deliver effective support, safety planning and recovery interventions while promoting residents' rights, dignity and choice. The postholder will work collaboratively with NHS crisis services, statutory and voluntary sector partners, monitor performance and compliance, respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns, and support continuous service improvement. This is an opportunity for an experienced practitioner and leader who is passionate about recovery, safeguarding and delivering high-quality support services.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you're willing to learn. We also value lived experience of the areas we support, so if you feel comfortable, please do mention this on your application.
This role is ideally suited to an experienced mental health professional with a strong background in supporting people experiencing mental health difficulties, crisis situations and complex needs within residential, accommodation-based or community services. You will have a proven ability to deliver high-quality, recovery-focused and person-centred support, underpinned by a strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and trauma-informed practice. Experience of supporting colleagues or leading a team is essential, along with the confidence to respond effectively to incidents, safeguarding concerns and changes in an individual's presentation.
The successful candidate will be skilled in building positive partnerships with NHS, statutory, voluntary and community organisations, and will understand the importance of coproduction and involving people with lived experience in service delivery. You will have experience of maintaining accurate records and using electronic case management systems, alongside a sound understanding of confidentiality, information governance and professional boundaries. Strong organisational and IT skills are essential, as is a commitment to promoting safe working practices, high-quality support and positive outcomes for residents.
