Senior AWS Cloud Architect – Python (NYS Government) | 30-Month W-2 Contract | Onsite Menands, NY

About the Role
We're seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Architect to support a New York State health agency on a long-term engagement. You'll design and deliver cloud-native and hybrid applications in AWS, build Python-based data pipelines, and develop secure REST integrations for public sector systems. This is a 30-month contract based onsite in Menands, NY from Day 1.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and deploy cloud-native and hybrid applications on AWS
• Design and implement web applications, single-page front ends, and REST backends
• Develop data processing, ETL, and analysis workflows in Python using Pandas and NumPy
• Build system-to-system integrations using REST APIs, REST clients, and Spring Security
• Design and manage relational and NoSQL data stores (Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Work with agency stakeholders to meet government IT standards and requirements

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, implementing, and deploying web applications, SPAs, and REST backends
• 7+ years designing and building cloud-native and hybrid applications in AWS
• 7+ years of Python for data processing, ETL, and analysis (Pandas, NumPy)
• 7+ years designing and deploying system-to-system applications with REST APIs, REST clients, and Spring Security
• 5+ years with relational and NoSQL databases: Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB
• 5+ years on public sector or government IT projects
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Information Technology from an accredited institution

Work Requirements

• Onsite in Menands, NY from Day 1 (no remote option)
• W-2 only; no corp-to-corp or third-party arrangements
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
