Senior Process Engineer Lithography
Location: Northampton
We are recruiting for a leading semiconductor and photonic device manufacturer seeking a Senior Process Engineer specialising in Lithography. You will support process development, optimisation, NPI, yield improvement, defect reduction and continuous improvement within an advanced semiconductor fabrication facility.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop, optimise and sustain photolithography and e-beam lithography processes.
- Support and optimise scanners, steppers, mask aligners, coaters, developers and e-beam systems.
- Improve critical dimensions, overlay, yield and process capability.
- Lead process development, qualification and equipment cross-qualification.
- Analyse manufacturing data using SPC, DOE, Six Sigma and statistical techniques.
- Drive yield, defect, scrap and cycle-time improvement.
- Support NPI and technology transfer.
- Work closely with Process, Equipment, Product Engineering, Manufacturing and R&D teams.
- Provide technical support for process and equipment issues.
- Maintain technical documentation and ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
- HNC/HND, Degree, Master's or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Semiconductor Technology or a related discipline.
- Experience within semiconductor, photonics, compound semiconductor, MEMS, optoelectronics or advanced manufacturing.
- Strong experience in photolithography and/or e-beam lithography.
- Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, DOE, Lean Manufacturing and root-cause analysis.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working within a high-technology manufacturing or cleanroom environment.
- Knowledge of MES would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of photonic integrated circuit manufacturing would be a plus.
