TR/IP NOC Technician with Security Clearance

Job #: 3034136 Apex Systems is currently hiring a Transport/IP (TR/IP) NOC Technician with a large GovCon client. This role is in support of an program with DISA. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Create, update, and monitor incident tickets using ServiceNow/ITSM, providing situational awareness to leadership.

• Monitor network events and element management failures on a 24/7/365 basis, proactively analyzing alarms and correlating fault information.
• Isolate root causes, coordinate fault corrections, and support the diagnosis of network issues through testing and troubleshooting.
• Notify relevant contacts regarding network incidents and coordinate with service providers to restore service.
• Restore networks and services to full operation, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Demonstrate proficiency in DISN functions such as routers, switches, and crypto devices. Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
• IAT II 8570/8140 Baseline Certification Security+ or equivalent
• Demonstrated experience in alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
• Proficiency is required in at least two of the following: routers, switches, crypto devices, DSN/DRSN, Video Services, Promina, CISCO, Juniper, MSPP, DWDM, or Optical Switching
• General understanding of network topologies, both transport and IP Location: Scott AFB, IL

Onsite expectation: 100% onsite
Clearance Level: Secret, open to candidates with a Top Secret
