Position Summary
The Strategic Finance Analyst will support the Strategic Finance team’s de novo, acquisition, pricing, and growth-investment analysis. Reporting to the Manager of Strategic Finance, this role will maintain financial models, support market and deal analysis, and help translate operational and market data into the growth decisions leadership acts on.
The Strategic Finance Analyst will play a key role in improving the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of the company’s growth analytics while providing timely, well-supported analysis as Cornerstone Caregiving adds 100+ offices a year through de novo openings and acquisitions.

Key Responsibilities
De Novo & Market Expansion Support
Support and help maintain the de novo economic model, updating ramp, breakeven, payback, and IRR assumptions each cycle. Assist with white-space analyses to quantify addressable demand and identify high-return markets. Maintain the market prioritization framework and update scoring inputs — demographics, payer mix, labor supply, wage pressure, competitive density, and referral depth. Track actual de novo performance against underwriting and help recalibrate ramp assumptions by cohort.

Acquisition Support
Assist with financial diligence — revenue and payer-mix quality, caregiver wage and turnover economics, billable-hour trends, client concentration, add-backs, and working capital. Support valuation work, including DCF and comparable-transaction models. Maintain the acquisition pipeline model, tracking targets, multiples, capital requirements, and expected contribution to the office-count and EBITDA plan. Support post-close synergy tracking and look-back analysis against original underwriting.

Pricing, Margin & Unit Economics Support
Help monitor bill-rate-to-pay-rate spread across the footprint and flag offices below target. Support quantification of margin expansion initiatives — scheduling efficiency, overtime reduction, caregiver utilization, and overhead leverage. Maintain and update the office-level unit economics model and benchmarking output. Growth Investment & Referral-Source Analysis
Analyze referral-source performance and ROI by source type, market, and Business Development representative. Track client acquisition cost, conversion, and lifetime value by channel.

Support business case development for strategic initiatives, including assumptions, sensitivities, and downside cases. Growth & Sponsor Reporting Support
Help prepare growth, de novo, and M&A content — findings, recommendations, and financial impact — for inclusion in FP&A & Planning’s executive presentations and sponsor analyses. Support ad hoc sponsor and lender requests on short timelines in coordination with FP&A & Planning. Maintain standardized templates so growth, de novo, and M&A reporting scales with the footprint rather than being rebuilt each cycle.

Business Partnering & Process Improvement
Support the Manager of Strategic Finance in partnering with Operations, Business Development, and Accounting to improve data integrity and granularity. Help maintain modeling, documentation, and review standards. Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting and analysis processes. Coordinate with the FP&A Analyst so growth and de novo assumptions flow cleanly into the budget and forecast without duplicated work.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field
0–3 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, transaction services, FP&A, or corporate development
Strong financial modeling skills, including comfort building and auditing return and valuation models (IRR, payback, DCF)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail
Ability to synthesize large, multi-location datasets into clear, decision-ready analysis
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including preparing materials for executive and sponsor audiences
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects (de novo, M&A, pricing) under deadline pressure
Ability to handle confidential and highly sensitive financial and deal information responsibly

Preferred Qualifications
Prior exposure to mergers & acquisitions, due diligence, or transaction analysis (internship or full-time)
Experience with SQL, Power BI, or other data/BI tools
Experience in healthcare, home care, multi-location, or franchise business environments
Coursework or experience in corporate valuation (DCF, comparable transactions)
