The role needs a strong mix of project management discipline, technical fluency, business judgement and stakeholder management. You will help teams turn strategic objectives into executable plans, remove blockers, improve delivery processes and make sure critical initiatives land efficiently and effectively.
About the client Our client is a high-growth, technology-led capital markets firm operating across clearing, custody, brokerage and financing. It is investing heavily in its platform and engineering capability to support continued global expansion, and puts a strong emphasis on collaboration, in-person teamwork and a diverse, high-performing culture.
Key responsibilities • Provide end-to-end oversight for the delivery of complex, large-scale engineering and business initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Business and Operations teams to define deliverables, timelines, ownership and execution plans.
• Break complex projects down into clear phases, milestones, dependencies and workstreams.
• Prioritise the programme roadmap so teams stay focused on the highest-impact work.
• Balance speed of delivery with strategic business goals, technical quality and operational readiness.
• Identify risks, blockers and dependencies early, and bring the right stakeholders together to resolve them.
• Give stakeholders consistent, transparent updates on progress, risks, decisions and outcomes.
• Produce insight, analysis and recommendations to improve delivery processes, team efficiency and project execution.
Skills and experience • 10+ years in project management, technical project management, change management, operational excellence or a related discipline.
• Experience in financial services, ideally capital markets, brokerage, clearing, custody or prime brokerage.
• Domain knowledge across front office, middle office, back office and post-trade workflows.
• A track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives across Engineering, Product, Business and Operations teams.
• Proven delivery of large-scale projects with multiple workstreams, dependencies, stakeholders and timelines.
• The ability to translate strategic business goals into structured execution plans, milestones, risks and measurable outcomes.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including reporting progress, risks and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Strong analytical and organisational skills, with the ability to anticipate dependencies, spot blockers and keep teams on the highest-impact priorities.
• A record of driving clarity and accountability in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to pre-empt issues and bring the right people together to resolve them quickly.
Salary and benefits Salary of up to £130,000, plus:
