Remote Job Description
We are seeking an experienced PSA Engineer DTS with strong expertise in Energy Management Systems (EMS), Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS), Power System Applications, SCADA/ADMS, and electric transmission & distribution systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience administering, configuring, troubleshooting, testing, and supporting EMS/DTS environments, preferably with GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21), GE eTerra/AEMS, or equivalent platforms from Siemens, OSI, ABB, Schneider, etc. Required Technical Skills

• 6 8 years of experience in Power System Applications / EMS
• Hands-on experience with Dispatcher Training Simulator (DTS) for EMS
• Strong experience with:
  • Power Flow
  • State Estimator
  • Contingency Analysis
  • Load Forecasting
  • Automatic Generation Control (AGC) / Load Frequency Control
  • DTS model validation and event creation
• Experience with GE PowerOn Reliance (XA21) and/or AEMS Platform Software
• Experience with equivalent EMS platforms such as:
  • Siemens
  • OSI
  • ABB
  • Schneider
• Experience with EMS, ADMS and SCADA enhancement and defect fixing
• Experience with:
  • Simulated RTU
  • Simulated IED
  • Console
  • ICCP
  • IEC
  • DNP3
  • Modbus
  • Data Modeling
  • XML / JSON
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience with relational databases:
  • Oracle
  • SQL Server
• Programming/scripting experience using:
  • C / C++
  • Perl
  • SQL
  • Shell scripting
  • Similar scripting/programming languages
• Ability to read and interpret application logs and debug files
• Experience installing and implementing fixes/patches on live customer systems
• Experience with QTest and GRIP tools

Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize Energy Management System (EMS) environments.
• Perform application configuration, tuning, troubleshooting and security patching.
• Perform DTS model validation and defect fixing.
• Create and validate DTS events and system models.
• Perform technical corrective actions to restore failed or failing EMS services.
• Conduct code reviews, deployment, testing and monitoring of:
  • Break/fix patches
  • Application modifications
  • System enhancements
• Troubleshoot EMS/DTS issues across Linux, Windows and database environments.
• Analyze system logs and debug files to identify and resolve technical issues.
• Support live customer environments and install fixes with minimal service disruption.
• Work with Power System Applications and EMS/SCADA/ADMS integrations.
  
  Education: At least a bachelor s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or closely related field is required
