Job description

Island is shaping the future of work - creating an enterprise workspace for both knowledge workers and agents - where access, security, and AI-powered productivity are built in. Our enterprise agentic control plane boosts productivity across devices, browsers, applications, networks, and data while protecting sensitive information, simplifying access, and helping enterprises scale AI safely.

Behind all of that is a team of people who care deeply about their craft and want to do the biggest and best work of their careers. At Island, character and drive matter more than your resume.

Backed by Coatue Management, Insight Partners, Sequoia Capital, Cyberstarts, and other world-class investors, Island is used by millions of people at some of the planet’s largest enterprises.

Come build with us. Together, we’re changing how the world works.

Seeking Top-Notch Go Engineers:

We are looking for exceptional Go engineers with 6+ years of hands-on software development experience, ideally with a strong background in low-level systems and network programming.

  • Key Qualifications:
  • Proven experience building large-scale, distributed systems in the cloud (e.g., AWS, GCP, etc.).
  • Extensive experience developing large-scale, multi-platform software across major operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android).
  • Strong understanding of network protocols and topologies.

Familiarity with the following is advantageous but not required:

  • Experience with proxies, VPNs, ZTNA, WireGuard, NGFW, and related technologies.

We’ve explored every corner of the modern enterprise — from building industry-defining technologies like antivirus and browser isolation, to delivering products like DLP and proxies at global scale. But what we’re building now isn’t just another solution — it’s an entirely new chapter for enterprise work.

The scale, the complexity, the impact — this is bigger than anything we’ve done before.
