Role Summary

We are looking for a frontend developer whose core strength is React and modern UI engineering, and who has applied that skill on the Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. This is not an AEM backend or full-stack AEM role. The candidate's career, resume, and day-to-day work should center on building user interfaces; AEM is the platform they have built those interfaces on, customized, or modernized.

Profile We Are Looking For

The resume should read as a frontend engineer's resume: React, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, UI performance, accessibility, and component design should dominate the experience and skills sections. AEM should appear as the platform context for that work (for example, “built React components for an AEM Cloud Service site” or “migrated legacy AEM HTL components to React”), not as the primary skill. Candidates should have 4–5 years of hands-on frontend work on AEM projects, with React/JavaScript as the primary skill throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Build responsive, accessible, high-performance user interfaces in React and TypeScript

• Develop reusable React component libraries and design-system components from Figma designs

• Integrate React components into AEM so content authors can edit and configure them (SPA Editor or headless delivery)

• Customize the look, behavior, and frontend of AEM Core Components and templates

• Consume AEM content via GraphQL and Content Fragments in React/Next.js applications

• Lead or contribute to frontend modernization on AEM, such as moving legacy jQuery/HTL UI to React

• Own frontend build tooling, bundling, and asset optimization within the AEM ui.frontend module

• Improve Core Web Vitals, accessibility (WCAG 2.1 AA), and cross-browser quality

• Write unit and component tests; participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies

Core Skills (Primary – Frontend)

• React (hooks, context, state management such as Redux/Zustand, performance optimization)

• JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript

• HTML5, CSS3, SASS, CSS-in-JS or Tailwind, responsive and mobile-first design

• Component-driven development and design systems; Storybook

• Testing with Jest and React Testing Library

• Build tools: Webpack, Vite, npm/yarn

• REST and GraphQL API consumption

• Web performance, accessibility, and SEO fundamentals

• Git, CI/CD basics, Agile/Scrum

Platform Experience (Secondary – AEM)

• 4–5 years delivering React-based frontend work on AEM 6.5 and/or AEM as a Cloud Service, across at least 2–3 implementations or modernization projects

• Understands how React components become author-editable in AEM (SPA Editor SDK, MapTo, model.json) or how headless AEM serves content to a React/Next.js app

• Comfortable working with clientlibs, the ui.frontend module, and enough HTL to read and adapt existing components

• Familiarity with Content Fragments and Experience Fragments from a consumption standpoint
